The Button (Please Don't)
Don't press the button.
That's it. That's the whole game.
A single red button sits on your screen. The narrator — friendly at first, increasingly unhinged — begs you not to press it. Popups appear. The internet police get called. A cease & desist letter arrives. The screen flips upside down. A support group forms. The narrator has a breakdown, word by word.
You will press it anyway.
Features:
- A narrator who starts warm and ends completely broken
- 20+ chaos effects that escalate with every press
- Fake Windows XP error popups, Discord notifications & rickrolls
- A therapy session, a CAPTCHA, a cookie banner, and an itch.io rating popup — all mid-game
- 60+ achievements including secret ones
- A heartfelt goodbye letter from the narrator before the crash screen
- Subtitled voice narrator that gets faster and more erratic the more you press
- And lots of easter eggs, can you find them all?
No downloads needed. Plays in browser. Takes about 2 minutes — or 45 if you're going for 100% achievements.
Made for the April Fool's Day Jam 2026. Small scope. Maximum chaos.
